Establishing a Good Relationship

The Greek God of Relation Poseidon who history once told us about how Socrates one of the greatest Sophist and philosopher of 5th Century once spoke against must have gone back to sleep in this Century of ours as many a student of this Century fail to identify the transformational power of "Relation" During their short stay in the University. The Word Relationship describes a state of Mutual dealings with someone or a group of people. Down memory lane, if history has taught us anything at all it is that for one man to be great, he must first learn to stand upon the shoulders of another great man therefore establishing a form of Relationship with him. Imagine the transition from the heroic deeds of one great man to another, spawned from a well established Relationship down the path of History From Socrates himself to Plato who founded the first University "The Academy" and the teacher of Aristotle who taught A remarkable figure, an unforgettable Icon and a self proclaimed God Alexandra The great who Shook the four corners of the earth from his royal sit in Athens the Capital of Greece, the birth place of western civilisation Even though he was no Athenian neither was his Father Philip II of Macedonia. Why won't he shake the world? After all he had learn from one of the Sharpest minds in History Aristotle himself. history has it that he was one of Aristotle's most loved student, Aristotle had polished him to become a master thinker and a gifted spokes man a blessing eked off A well established Relationship. I bet when you hear the name "Bill" the first person that comes to mind is Bill Gates, Yes I mean Bill Gate of Microsoft Inc, Do you know Steve? Yes Steve of Apple, I am sure you do, who doesn't know what an iPhone is this days? but I would love to assume you have no idea the Kind of relationship which existed between this Duo other than to have known them to be one of the few individuals who single handedly forever altered the course of History. Around 1982 and 1983 after Steve Jobs introduced the Concept of a graphical User interface to Bill gates(an ambitious, never die spirited man) an idea Steve had gotten from his partnership with Xerox Inc, Gates upon seeing this saw much more than a concept, he saw power right before his eyes, he saw an opportunity to dominate the software industry as much as this may have affected and stalled the career of Steve Jobs in the mid 90s when Bill gate was being charged with Monopoly, Steve Job was just starting to get himself together resuming back to his company where he had been Fired, he needed financial support for execution of new ideas, bill needed a Way to clear his name of course his Foundation The Melinda Gates Foundation was not just enough to do this hence when Steve reached out to him, he was willing to flush money into Steve's project after all he was his friend. You should by now already know where I am driving at, if you don't, it is the transformational power of a meaningfully well defined Relationship as stated by one of the Religious books "Iron sharpeneth iron as one bright man sharpens another" who you become after your stay in the University will be defined by the kind of people you associate yourself with during your stay in the university. In every institution of course the set of people at the centre of attraction are the ones who have nothing to offer as diamonds are not swept off the surface of a rock. A Greek maxim "Knouton Souton" meaning Know thyself yes know thyself other wise you will be quick to get carried away by the rumbling tides of this Empty people who have nothing to offer and after 5,6,7 years you will realise you have Only came to A citadel of learning to play the blind man's tune.
